According to the MTC (Mechanical Transport Ministry), the route includes passage through 69 tunnels and 58 bridges, highlighting the Balta Tunnel, the longest at 1,378 meters (4,521 feet), and the Galera Tunnel, which is 4,781 meters (15,682 feet) above sea level, making it the highest point on the route. Among the bridges, the Carrión Bridge is the longest, at 218 meters (715 feet).
