To make this journey, full of the most unprecedented flora and fauna, good physical conditions are required; Otherwise, it could take you up to three hours to complete the entire walk. An alternative way to get to the waterfall is on horseback, requesting in advance the help of the residents of the Tingo de Uchiza hamlet.

Tourism in Silver Veil Waterfall

Going a little to the south of the Uchiza district, in the province of Tocache, in San Martín, you will find the Velo de Plata waterfall, a natural resource in the middle of the typical vegetation of the Peruvian jungle, and the crops of the inhabitants. .

 

This waterfall is located a considerable distance from the town center of Crisnejas, and to get to it, it is necessary to walk for almost thirty kilometers. The walk can be done, if you are in good physical condition, in less than four hours, although it can take up to five hours. The Velo de Plata Waterfall has a waterfall one hundred meters high, which is why it is considered one of the highest in the region. The waters of the Silver Veil Waterfall cascade over a group of natural pools, where after the almost four-hour walk to the site, visitors can cool off.

 

Like other resources in the area, and due to the considerable distance of the place, it is suggested that the waterfall be visited only until 4 in the afternoon, since the time of the return walk must be added to the hour and a half of walking. How to get to the waterfall?

To get to the waterfall you can go to the transport companies in the Uchiza district, and at the land terminal hire companies such as El Principito, Selva Tour or Transporte Uchiza. The cost fluctuates between 200 and 250 soles and six to eight passengers can travel per van.
