If you want to say that you’ve hiked the famous Machu Picchu, then the Cheap Inca Trail Tour is for you. but usually, you will need to book in advance, in case it is fully booked, we recommend the Inca Trail alternative hikes:
The iconic Inca Trail unfolds over four days and three nights, guiding adventurers from km.82 (commencing just 40 minutes beyond the town of Ollantaytambo) to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu, culminating at the exclusive Sun Gate, also known as Inti Punku.
Surprisingly, the trail spans a mere 40 km (25 miles), though the catch lies in a substantial portion of this distance, featuring steep, narrow paths through the Andean mountains at high altitudes.
In the grandeur of the Incan Empire, which once encompassed Peru, extensive parts of modern Ecuador, western and south-central Bolivia, northwest Argentina, north and central Chile, and a small section of southwest Colombia, thousands of kilometers of trails connected vital settlements and centers of civilization. Yet, it is the specific four-day route that is hailed as the unparalleled 'classic Inca Trail.'
It's worth noting that if you come across tours with fewer days, they entail only a fraction of the complete route, offering a glimpse rather than the full experience.
