We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m. To take you to the bus station. Then we will begin our journey going through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. In our tour we will descend approx. 500 meters to visit the town of Pisaq where we will visit the craft market and can buy some presents for their families. Then we will head towards the archaeological complex of Pisaq, which offers breathtaking landscapes throughout the valley. In the guided tour we will see the areas that were used as residences, temples and other architecture, etc. If you prefer to spend more time in the artisanal market instead of visiting the archaeological complex of Pisaq, you only need to inform your guide. After the visit to Pisaq we will continue to Urubamba, where we will stop for lunch, then we will go to Ollantaytambo which is surrounded by spectacular scenery. Here again we will be surprised by the magnificence of the Inca culture, with the amazing temple of the sun with its huge blocks perfectly carved and finished, the water fountains, and the traditional way of dressing of the communities that live around this beautiful place . After you have finished visiting this beautiful place we will transfer you to your hostel where you will spend the night and rest.
The Short Inca Trail tour to Machu Picchu starts from pick-up at your hotel (6:00 am approx.) We will drive to the train station where you will board the train that leaves from Ollantaytambo train station heading to Km 104 (start of our walk of Short Inca Trail). The train trip lasts an hour and a half, in this tour you will be able to appreciate beautiful landscapes and different ecosystems. When you reach km 104 and then cross a suspension bridge to reach the checkpoint, you must present your passport or document with which you made your reservation. At the end of the respective controls we will start with the uphill walk for 4 hours until we reach the Inca Wiñaywayna site which in Quechua means (forever young) Wiñaywayna has a height of 2680 meters above sea level and is considered one of the most attractive sites of this route . After your guided tour we will stop to eat our box lunch or snack. After recharging our energy we will continue our hike for an hour and a half until we reach the Intipunku (Sun Gate) where you can enjoy the first panoramic views of Machu Picchu. Finally we will continue walking through the last section of the Inca Trail until we reach the place where you can take the classic photo with the old citadel. After this short break, we will descend to the main entrance, here we will get on the bus that will take us to Aguas Calientes to spend the night. Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, you will have time to relax at the hotel before your dinner and then plan the tour in the citadel on the last day of the tour.
Once you have arrived at Machu Picchu, you will have your guided tour for 2 hours from this historic site, followed by enough time to make your own tour. From 3:30 pm we will meet at a restaurant in Aguas Calientes for our last lunch together (optional and not included in the tour price). After lunch you will receive your train tickets for your trip back to Cusco.
We recommend that you take only what is necessary to enjoy your trip and leave the rest of your things in the hotel.
