Here you can find mammals such as deer, taruca, Andean condor, vizcacha, and Andean fox. The latter is considered an endangered species, making it difficult to find elsewhere.
The fauna is also very varied, but the most notable is the Imtipida, an endangered tree species.
Officially known as the Taraccasa Ecological Park, it is more popularly known as the Taraccasa Lookout.
It is so named because it is a park on top of a hill. From it, you can enjoy excellent views of the entire city of Abancay. It also has a wide variety of animals, recreational games, an artificial lagoon, and a small zoo.
The Pampachiri Stone Forest is a stone forest located in the Pampachiri district, Apurimac department, right in the Andes Mountains.
The site is characterized by its enormous pointed or mushroom-shaped stones. It is also known as the Peruvian Smurf House, and they reach approximately 6 to 8 meters in height. It is believed that these stones originated approximately 4 million years ago from the materials exposed by the Sotaya and Qarwarasu volcanoes.
Nevado de Ampay is a mountain 5,235 meters above sea level. It is notable for accumulating a considerable amount of snow on its peaks. Due to its climate and monumental size, many people come here to practice adventure sports and mountaineering.

This beautiful lagoon is located in the district of the same name. It stands out for its beautiful views and is a place where many tourist activities can be enjoyed, such as paddle tennis, fishing, boating, and more.
Many tourists come to Pacucha Lagoon each year to appreciate its magnificent landscapes and enjoy the flora and fauna it houses, but above all, to enjoy a moment of contact with nature.
The construction of the Sóndor Archaeological Complex dates back to the times of the pre-Inca Chanca culture. It is located 24 kilometers northeast of the Armada Plaza in Andahuaylas, a 44-minute drive.
It was once an Andean ceremonial center where the earth was worshipped. Currently, it holds the title of National Cultural Heritage.
The Curamba Archaeological Complex, also known as Inca Monte, is located in the district of Kishuara, in the province of Andahuaylas, within the department of Apurímac, at approximately 4,500 meters above sea level. The site was discovered by Peruvian archaeologist Raúl del Mar in 1989 and, according to him and the chroniclers of the Colonial Period, was a metallurgical center for the processing of silver, the largest of its kind in the Inca culture. The location of this Metallurgical Center may also have served the purposes of Inca domination, since after the expulsion of the Chankas from the area, it also functioned as an Intermediate Administrative Control Center. It is undoubtedly one of the best tourist attractions in Apurímac, and it is still very rarely visited.
