One of the main attractions to consider is the Andahuaylas Main Square. Thousands of tourists enjoy the enormous colonial structures there. It is known for its crystal-clear waters, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing, water sports, birdwatching, picnics, and camping on its shores. The Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylas, located in the city of Andahuaylas, in the Apurimac region of Peru, is an outstanding example of 17th-century colonial religious architecture. It features a mestizo baroque style and an ornate façade with stone carvings and religious statues. Inside, it features gilded altarpieces and decorated altars, and houses a chapel dedicated to Saint Sebastian. The church is an important site for religious events and local festivities and has been recognized as a National Cultural Heritage Site due to its historical and cultural value in the region.

This is a colonial bridge built over a river of the same name. It is used by drivers and residents to travel to different parts of the city, such as the Huancabamba airport.

This is a statue in honor of the indigenous writer José María Arguedas. Various cultural activities are held here, in which local people participate.

Curamba Archaeological Complex

The Curamba Archaeological Complex, also known as Inca Monte, is located in the district of Kishuara, in the province of Andahuaylas, within the department of Apurímac, at approximately 4,500 meters above sea level. The site was discovered by Peruvian archaeologist Raúl del Mar in 1989 and, according to him and the chroniclers of the Colonial Period, was believed to have been a metallurgical center for the processing of silver, the largest of its kind in the Inca culture. The location of this metallurgical center may also have served the purposes of Inca domination, since after the expulsion of the Chankas from the area, it also functioned as an Intermediate Administrative Control Center.
